    • What helicopter is used for the Tour and will the doors be on?
      All flights from the Downtown Manhattan Heliport are done with the doors on. This is actually a regulation requirement. This tour is completed on either a A-Star, Bell 407 aircraft which can seat up to 6 or 7 comfortably depending on the body weights. Ground operations at the Downtown Manhttan Heliport will govern seat allocation in order to ensure the aircraft is balanced.
    • Why are there no flights on Sunday in Manhattan?
      No flights on Sunday which is not due to sell outs. The City of New York does not permit tourism aircraft flying on any Sunday when those flights depart from the Downtown Manhattan Heliport. If you'd like to take a NYC Helicopter Flight on Sunday we recommend the Helicopter Tour NYC Night Flight - 30-35 Minutes which departs from Essex County Airport in New Jersey.
    • Is there an inside place for my non-flying family or friends to wait during the Tour?
      Yes. the Downtown Manhattan Heliport (Wall Street Heliport) has a small seating area. For safety and security reasons non-flying participants are not allowed on the tarmac of the Heliport and there are strict security protocols that must be adhered similar to most airports. The ground crew staff will be able to assist you on the day if you have any questions.
