What helicopter is used for the Tour and will the doors be on? All flights from the Downtown Manhattan Heliport are done with the doors on the aircraft. This is actually a regulation requirement. This tour is completed on either a A-Star, Bell 407 aircraft which can seat up to 6 or 7 comfortably depending on the body weights. Ground operations at the Wall Street Heliport (Downtown Manhttan Heliport) will govern seat allocation in order to ensure the aircraft is balanced.

Is there an inside place for my non-flying family or friends to wait during the Tour? Yes. the Downtown Manhattan Heliport (6th Street Heliport) has a small seating area. For safety and security reasons non-flying participants are not allowed on the tarmac of the Heliport and there are strict security protocols that must be adhered similar to most airports. The ground crew staff will be able to assist you on the day if you have any questions.
