What is a tandem skydiving jump in San Francisco?

A tandem skydiving jump is when you are securely harnessed to a certified instructor who controls the entire jump, allowing you to experience skydiving safely while enjoying incredible views of the rolling hills of the Greater Bay Area. Our locations are to the North and to the South of the main metropolitin area.

Do I need prior experience to go skydiving?

No experience is required. Tandem skydiving is designed for first-timers, and your instructor will guide you through every step from training to landing.

What should I wear for my tandem skydive in the Bay Area?

Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe athletic shoes. Avoid loose accessories. Jumpsuits and goggles will be provided if needed.

How high will we jump from?

Most tandem skydives near San Francisco take place from 10,000 to 14,000 feet, giving you up to 60 seconds of thrilling freefall.

Are there age or weight restrictions in California?

Participants must be at least 18 years old. Weight limits typically range between 230 and 250 pounds depending on the drop zone and conditions.

Is tandem skydiving safe?

Yes. Tandem skydiving is very safe when conducted by certified instructors using professionally maintained equipment and strict safety procedures.

How long does the entire experience take?

Plan to spend about 3 to 4 hours total, including check-in, training, gear fitting, flight time, and the skydive itself. In case there is the odd chance of some low lying clouds we recommend guests plan a half day at the location so that your jump will happen!

Can I get photos or videos of my jump?

Yes. Most locations offer professional photo and video packages so you can relive your skydive and share it with friends and family.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Skydiving is weather dependent. If conditions are unsafe, your jump will be rescheduled for the next available date at no extra charge. This is why we recommend a 1-2 hour extra buffer in shedule to allow for weather to improve and so we can make your jump happen on the day as planned.

Do I need to sign a waiver before jumping?

Yes. All participants must complete a waiver at our Bay Area location prior to their skydive acknowledging safety procedures and participation requirements.
