Trekking the orangey badlands of Utah’s Goblin State Park, you’ll be struck by the endless display of hoodoos marking the landscape. Also known as hoodoos or goblins (hence the park’s name), these mushroom-shaped formations set the otherworldly stage for an unforgettable canyoneering adventure!
This excursion begins with a scenic trek along the Valley of the Goblins before arriving at a mysterious slot canyon. Enter the ominous cave and gear up for a hair-raising rappel into the Chamber of the Basilisk, sometimes called the Goblins Lair. Upon the 80-foot descent, your expedition leader gives you plenty of time to photograph the chamber’s jagged walls and expressive lighting. Next, you’re guided through Goblin’s Squeeze—a narrow, 150-foot long tunnel that leads you back to the open air.
Learn the ropes on site—this all-ages canyoneering adventure doesn’t require any prior climbing experience. But even if you’re a seasoned cave explorer, you’ll be struck by the chamber’s gothic formations and remain entranced on every step of this journey. It’s unquestionably one of Utah’s most dramatic hideouts. Book today!
