Adrenaline University Press Release

THE ADRENALINE GROUP LAUNCHES ADRENALINE UNIVERSITY IN A COMMITMENT TO SMART GROWTH

Curriculum Developed by Creator of Objective-C, the Programming Language for the NeXT Computer Operating System

(Washington, DC - October 3, 2000)--The Adrenaline Group, a leader in high tech new product development, today announced the launch of Adrenaline University, an intense, two-week boot-camp for new employees, created to reinforce Adrenaline's technology focus and culture as the company experiences exponential growth. The training program uses case studies and a mock client engagement to teach employees its unique product management methodology, and was developed for Adrenaline by industry guru Brad Cox, founder and chief scientist of SuperDistribution, Inc. (www.superdistributed.com)

Adrenaline has grown from six to 65 employees in the past year and opened an office in Austin, TX. The company's growth and success has recently attracted national attention. DBusiness named Adrenaline to their Washington 50 to Watch list as a company "ready to set the industry on fire". Washington Business Forward named Adrenaline CEO Scott McLoughlin as a rising star in their "Next Network" list of Washington business leaders.

"The Adrenaline Group has the best new product development process I've seen for building leading edge, web-based software products," said Cox. "Adrenaline University will teach that process across the board to new employees, and may eventually be expanded to present the Adrenaline Way to customers. First there was MilSpec, then there was Fred Brooks' rapid prototyping, and now we have the Adrenaline Way."

Cox served as the chief consultant on the creation of Adrenaline University and developed the initial curriculum. He is the creator of the Objective-C programming language used by Steve Jobs for NeXT Step, the operating system for the NeXT computer, and author of SuperDistribution: Objects as Property on the Electronic Frontier. A former professor at George Mason University's Program on Social and Organizational Learning, Cox is a past recipient of the Paul Allen Award for his creation of the Virtual School (www.virtualschool.com), recognized as the best distributed learning community nationwide.

Rapid growth makes it difficult for companies to maintain quality. A recent report from Goldman Sachs Investment Research stated that, "the best positioned e-business architects will be those that have formalized processes for staying on top of the technology curve and other trends." Adrenaline University was built to do just that, as well as preserve the company's approach to planning, building and managing digital businesses.

"Adrenaline is committed to growing smart," said Adrenaline CEO Scott McLoughlin. "We've successfully created a strong culture that combines extreme technology talent with an aggressive, customer-focused approach to product development. Adrenaline University is key to maintaining high customer satisfaction as we continue to expand and open new offices around the country."

While Adrenaline University has been designed for employees, McLoughlin said they may eventually open courses in new product development to the larger DC-area tech community. "The corporate Information Technology role is migrating functionally from a cost-cutting unit to a competitive business function, responsible for high-tech new product development. It only helps us if we share our knowledge and process with our customers." said McLoughlin. The Adrenaline Group plans to dedicate an entire wing of its facility to the program.
