The Inside Scoop at Adrenaline | Career Profiles

We are a hard-core commercial software firm that demands our utmost focus and intellect to deliver high-quality software products for emerging businesses. We exist to support, coax, and motivate employees to generate superior work. There is a minimal layer of management with the emphasis placed on the individual to drive his or her own success. This means that you must know how to manage both upwards and downwards. You are hands-on. You are constantly challenging yourself, your peers, and your clients to focus on the execution of launching elective-use software products.

Check out our team. They exist because we want you to see who your future co-workers might be. What would you write?

More than just bios, we would like to provide you with an insight into our company and our employees. Our employees -- are and create -- our company's value. Please bookmark this page as we rotate profiles frequently.

Alice Kang

Why did you choose Adrenaline?

Alice: I wanted to work at a place where I wouldn't be bored. The people who work here have an incredible amount of energy and passion. It was really nice to see that so obviously in a company from the top-down.

What has been your most challenging project at Adrenaline?

Alice: Well, every project is challenging in its own way. Perhaps the most prevelant challenge in the work that we do is tailoring our services to the client. This involves educating clients about our process and style of working and also learning about what the individual needs of our clients are.

Explain the term, "Nurture the Hurt"

Alice: Put it this way, would you rather work in a company that was easy and boring? Probably not, so instead, work here is difficult but enjoyable. "Nurture the Hurt" just means that you work hard and like it. What a novel idea!

Tell me something about Adrenaline you would never find in another environment?

Alice: From day one, your co-workers have a level of confidence in you that you will not find anywhere else - there are no artificial boundaries imposed just because you're newbie. You're immediately given a level of responsibility equal to that of the people that have worked here for a while. At first it's intimidating and a little stressful but it also provides you with the opportunity to excel at an incredibly high rate. You work hard to maintain the trust and I think that it really works well in this company.

What do you do for fun?

Alice: I like to travel a great deal. Earlier, I was given the opportunity to work in both Berlin, Germany and Kampala, Uganda. Both were amazing experiences and I expect to do it a lot more in the future. Otherwise, I try to spend time with my family and friends in New York.

If you didn't do this what else would you be doing?

Alice: I have no clue. I pretty much just take advantage of opportunities as they come, but I'll only commit to something if I really like it.

Noah Egorin

Why did you choose Adrenaline?

Noah: I choose to work at Adrenaline for lots of reasons but the two biggest are the opportunity to learn and the chance to continue working in a top notch software development environment. The opportunity to work with really smart people with a wide range of skills drew me in. I realized working here I would have a chance to grow both my business and technology skills. Having come from Microsoft, I wanted to continue to work for a company that understands how to ship software. I found on my interview, and continue to find working here that Adrenaline understands how to get great products out the door.

What has been your most challenging project at Adrenaline?

Noah: I have only had the chance to work for one client, but the most challenging part of this assignment has been curbing my desire to build the perfect product in release 1.0. Everyone on my team has huge big dreams of what the product should do, but getting to market means making the tough decisions of what is necessary versus what would be cool to have.

Explain the term, "Nurture the Hurt"

Noah: Nurture the hurt has two meanings to me. The first is internally to adrenaline. It means help everyone raise their game and perform at flank speed. The culture at Adrenaline is extremely intense and it is everyone's responsibility to make sure that all of your team member can be extremely successful. With our clients it is a similar situation. As a startup company it is important to come out of the gate sprinting and not limping. By providing top notch product strategy and software development we help out clients startup fast and win markets. Adrenaline provides product focus and execution.

Tell me something about Adrenaline you would never find in another environment?

Noah: I don't know much about other companies environments but Adrenaline's commitment to using good software development practices in the non-shrink wrap world is something I have not seen in other service companies.

What do you do for fun?

Noah: I am a huge lacrosse fan. I enjoy both playing (go Team Reebok) or watching games. I also enjoy lifting, reading, and biking.

If you didn't do this what else would you be doing?

Noah: Well, if I was not working in the software industry I would still be creating some kind of product. Maybe new product development for a lacrosse company, or designing new things for cars. I enjoy thinking about how to make things better.
