Name: John Hitchingham, Systems Architect

A specialist in network and UNIX operations, John Hitchingham is a member of The Adrenaline Group's System Architecture team. Hitchingham has responsibility for all facets of system engineering and network design for the products that Adrenaline builds for its customers. At Adrenaline, he has worked as the lead system architect on projects involving the employment of Java, Linux, Oracle, and MySQL for clients such as Encanto and Network Solutions. He is equally versed in network design and server deployment.
With over 7 years experience in the computer industry, John has worked for companies in both the consulting and telecommunications fields. Prior to Adrenaline, Hitchingham managed IP address management for Winstar's ISP operations. Before Winstar, he implemented a knowledge sharing solution for SRA International. While at SRA, Hitchingham served as the Senior UNIX and Network Engineer for SRA's Enterprise Operations where he worked with firewalls, VPNs, application development and program management.
John has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University.

Name: Alain Menguy, Systems Architect

As a member of The Adrenaline Group's System Architecture team, Alain Menguy has responsibility for all facets of system engineering and network design for the products that Adrenaline builds for its customers. Most recently, Menguy built the system architecture for a client that promotes and empowers pseudonymous identity online.
Prior to Adrenaline, Menguy was involved in the IT Industry for eight years. He designed, developed and built applications for companies such as Motorola, The Shedd Aquarium, and in France for the CMA-CGM Group and SOPRA, a leading French consulting company. Menguy has managed web projects and developed a detailed understanding of dynamic web architecture solutions in developing server-side and database applications using Oracle, Unix, C, Servlet, HTML.
Menguy earned a Master Degree in Information Technology from Aix-en-Provence University in 1990 and a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from Rennes University (France).

Name: Rob Ries, Systems Architect

As a member of The Adrenaline Group's System Architecture team, Rob Ries has responsibility for all facets of system engineering and network design for the products that Adrenaline builds for its customers. Ries has been the lead system architect for two of Adrenaline's largest contracts to date, including one whose web survey-based business model projected a world-wide deployment of scores of front end servers. In addition, as part of Adrenaline's Technology Advisory Services Practice, Ries has performed internal technology audits, technology organizational development, technical business case preparation and technical due diligence for investors and acquiring firms. In this role, Ries has worked on numerous engagements, including: a post-merger technology assessment for a web-based registration/targeted electronic ad firm; a pre-investment independent review of a company that wanted to streamline the business transactions among healthcare providers, healthcare group purchasing organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and pharmaceutical wholesalers; and an independent third party review of the technical contractor building an e-commerce system for a major athletic footwear vendor.
Ries has over seventeen years experience designing, developing, and deploying computer applications. Before coming to Adrenaline, Ries worked as the Head of Information Technology for the Delegation of the Commission of the European Union. Ries monitored all aspects of the Delegation's cyber-infrastructure, including programming, security, systems administration, budget forecasting and maintenance, and network administration. Prior to joining the Delegation, Ries was a freelance consultant, doing system administration and programming work for organizations such as the United States Court of Appeals, DC Circuit.
Early in his career, Ries served as a Research Computer Scientist with the Federal Judicial Center, an agency tasked with the arduous task of automating the case management systems of the United States Courts of Appeals. Various pieces of Ries's Administrative Interface to the Appellate Information Management System are still in use in many of the courts. Following his time at the FJC, Ries served as the UNIX-based relational database management system expert at Computer Consoles Incorporated (CCI). He developed software to allow seamless integration between the CCI office automation package and several third party database packages.
Ries graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia in 1983 with a B.A. He was an Echols Scholar.
